How vehicle scrapping works

Scrapping a vehicle is more than dropping it off and walking away. ELVs must be handled correctly to recover materials safely and ensure any required paperwork is managed properly.

Contact Us Before Visiting

Before bringing a vehicle to Panda Rosa, contact our team first. We’ll confirm the correct procedure, what you need to bring, and where to arrive on site.

Step 2

Bring identification and vehicle details

You may be asked to provide proof of identity and proof of ownership when delivering a vehicle for scrapping. If you are unsure what documentation is required, we can advise in advance.

Step 3

Vehicle intake and processing

Once the vehicle is received, it is processed so that recyclable materials can be recovered and prepared for recycling through established routes.

Materials recovered from scrap vehicles

Most of a vehicle can be recycled. Metals and components are separated so they can be processed and returned to productive use.

Common materials recovered:

Export Capability

Direct Metal Export

Panda Rosa is one of the few recycling operators in the North East of Scotland that exports processed metal directly to international recycling markets. This allows materials recovered from decommissioning projects to move efficiently from site to global manufacturing supply chains.

Direct Export Routes

Processed metals are exported directly through established shipping routes from Aberdeen. This reduces handling and removes unnecessary intermediaries in the recycling chain.

High Volume Handling

Our 13-acre Harehill facility provides the space and infrastructure required to receive, sort and process large volumes of metal generated during decommissioning and dismantling projects.

Efficient Material Recovery
